Bilingüismo

On 2007 our school started to develop a bilingual program, under the CLIL (content and language integrated learning) methodology and immersing our students in a bilingual environment in which they take 50% of the weekly assignment in English; with the purpose of learning it as a second language.

2019 In 2019 the first cycle ended, as we graduated our first bilingual class, certified by Cambridge University with a B2 level and above. These were the first students to receive their diploma as bilingual academic bachelors, thanks to resolution number 08875, issued by the Colombian Ministry of Education the same year. This important accomplishment became the starting point for even greater ones.

Our school curriculum is delivered in english and spanish from Preschool to 11th grade. We give our students the opportunity to strengthen both languages using the communicative approach.

To develop the bilingual subjects our students, use international materials, both books and online platforms.

Our students take international certification exams that support the academic process. The exit requirement is the TOEFL iBT, with a minimum of B2 level.

WE PROMOTE THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACQUISITION AND USE THROUGH DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES SUCH AS:

Literature contests

Model of United Nations

Spelling Bee

Science Fair

Among others. We are currently developing new exchange opportunities with fellow Augustinian Institutions in North America.

On 2022, French became part of our offer, as it was included in our curriculum from preschool, it will go up as years go by, so our students will learn it as a third language.
